I’ll be performing with @handspercussionmalaysia this weekend as part of the #ITAEnsemble! We’ll be playing beautiful music composed by Ms. Yuan Leow Yunn, paired with the vibrant rhythms of Hands Percussion.

There will also be a special guzheng solo performed by my dear student Emi Ch’ng, Yuwen Chuah, and myself.

I still can’t believe Encik Yazid is gone… We just ended the show on 27th October for the ASEAN Gala Dinner under his conduct. I joined OTM as a jemputan since 2020 and Encik Yazid has always been so kind, supportive, and encouraging.

Thank you so much for all the opportunities, the trust, and for having guzheng to be part of OTM. So many memories come flooding back just by looking at these photos… so emotional but I really don’t know what to say , these past few days have been so shocking and difficult to all of us.

Rest in peace, Encik Yazid. You will always be remembered and terima kasih untuk segalanya.. 🤍

I’ll be performing a Guzheng Concerto “Elegy of the Cloud Garments” 《云裳诉》 at @dewanfilharmonikpetronas next Monday. Besides, our guzheng ensemble #MalaysiaGuzhengEnsemble by @theguzhengacademy will also be playing 《行者》, and what makes it even more special is that our Youth Guzheng Ensemble (formed by our teen students) will be joining to stage this time. 💕

There will be many more Chinese Orchestra repertoire in this concert!

丢回上个月说走就走的快闪新加坡顺便带儿子去走走～主要去看 #Hamilton 虽然不是original cast 但全剧还是很精彩 Eliza失去儿子那段唱得我很难不哭 anyway king george的生动无疑是亮点演lafayette的韩国演员也很不错啊可以看到一场自己concert wishlist的演出还是很满足的（说到满足就要推荐大家去听这个音乐剧里其中一首代表作 #satisfied）anyway这个剧的曲子都很好听但一般人唱的话舌头会打结还会断气哈哈

Join us for a captivating Guzheng Workshop led by Sara Heng, the Director of The Guzheng Academy (TGA). With a master’s degree from the Central Conservatory of Music and years of experience in education and performance, Sara brings exceptional expertise to her teaching.

About the Guzheng Workshop
🔸Introduction of Guzheng history, fundamental techniques, basic music theory, and provide hands-on guidance.
🔸Conducted in bilingual.

Finding time to practice at home while having a toddler is challenging 🫠 so here’s a timelapse video of my practice session, ended with my son hitting the guzheng and asking for hugs 😂 btw still able to enjoy some me time while they’re having fun at the playground. I’m playing one of my favourite piece 秦土情 for upcoming show, with the accompaniment of He Yue Chinese Orchestra, conducted by Mr Steven Goh. Besides, I’m also performing another piece from 周展-梦回临安 as #MalaysiaGuzhengEnsemble , a group of 14 Guzheng performers led by my partner Cloud Teo! The concert is happening on this Sunday (3rd March 24) at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, Twin Towers. Looking forward to the performance and hope to see you there! 🦾

时光荏苒，转眼间吾音乐屋公司迎来了20周年，与此同时，马来西亚禾乐艺术及文化协会也步入了第10年。从零至今，固然是个艰难的过程，这一路走来虽充满荆棘但也充满了美好的回忆。为了庆祝这个辉煌历程，吾音乐屋将隆重主办《傳承》音乐会，马来西亚通讯及多媒体部以及政府官联机构MyCreative Ventures Group为支持单位。

今年过年把古筝带到马尔代夫，而且Ritz Carlton还要求多演奏古筝传统、经典曲目👍🏻🥹 很自在的一场演出，观众还是华人/中国人居多，但也有一些老外和当地人，好多都表示第一次听古筝现场演奏，谢谢大家喜欢！在酒店旁边浅浅snorkeling一下看见了 Eagle Ray ，可惜时间紧迫赶着回来和家人过年所以也没玩太多，下次还想自己再去一次马尔代夫！🌊
